Why I scrapbook ...

We have lots of "scrapbookable" moments in our house this year. The event that is imminently on the horizon is my youngest son's high school graduation. We homeschooled until Jared was in 8th grade, so he and I (and his siblings) had lots - and lots - and LOTS of quality time together. But the years have gone by in the blink of an eye. I remember my grandma saying to me (on the subject of childrearing) - "The days are long, but the years are short." So true! I just want to celebrate my sweet boy as he attends his last full day of high school.

How did he go from this:

To this in such a short time?

(Was he not just the cutest little guy ever? And such a sense of style!) I'm so glad I took lots of photos and have taken time to put the pictures in scrapbooks to preserve the memories. It's not just a creative outlet - it has been a labor of love.

Love you, Jare Bear - I'm so proud of you and love being your mom!

  1. Sweet post! My favorite part was the ending...Love you, Jare Bear. That is the exact same family nickname we have for my 21 yr. old son, Jared. Made me smile!
