Tea Party

It's not that kind of tea party: this is ladies having lunch! My sweet aunt came to visit from Texas, and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a local tea room. My mom, my step-grandmother, and my uncle's fiancee came, too. We ate at the La Tea Da Tea Room in Clinton, IL -- isn't that a great name!

Aunt Shirl and Doris looking at pictures of Doris' family:

The reserved tables were marked with a plate similar to ours. I thought this was such a clever idea!

My mama and me (No, we really did NOT call each other the night before to coordinate our outfits, but aren't we cute?!)

The scrumptious lunch that we all had - baked potato soup, chicken salad on a croissant, and BLT pasta salad. Absolutely delicious!

I thought the napkin rings were so adorable!

Our group: Lori, Carol (my mom), Shirley (my aunt), Doris (grandmother), and Becky (aunt-to-be) - Not pictured: the spider who hung out on the ceiling right above us.

It was such a beautiful day, and we had a fantastic time. I got to enjoy a rare Saturday off from work and also got to be with some of the people who are close to my heart.

  1. It's always a blessing to share time with those you love! What a cute tea room name & adorable napkin rings. And I do hope that spider stayed itsy bitsy and all to itself too!
